The
Club runs
tournaments on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday
evenings. Play starts promptly at 7.15pm.
Club
competitions are also held on Tuesday evenings.
The
Club runs
qualifying heats of District and National
events as well as District and National competitions, and has teams in
all four divisions of the West District Teams of Eight League.

Events
The Winter Teams are on the penultimate Tuesday of each month and you
do not need to play with the same team. The online entry for

Alan Mill
It is with great regret that we announce the death of Alan Mill. Alan
had been one of the foremost members of the Buchanan for many years and
will be greatly missed. Our condolences go to Alan's family and friends.
Funeral service at Woodside Crematorium, Paisley, on Monday, 15th
March, at 1.00pm, to which all friends are respectfully invited. Family
flowers only, please.

Congratulations
To Fergus and Lina Kerr on winning the SBU Mixed Swiss Pairs ...
,,,and to Stuart Bradnam who was in the Scottish Junior team which won
the Peggy Bayer in Wales at the weekend. He is a Junior member in the
club.
Also, Fraser Morgan who was a member before he went off to St Andrews
University was in the winning Under 25 Scottish team and has been
selected for the European Open Team.

Confused
by Arrow Switches?
A Mitchell pairs movement is effectively two separate competitions -
between those playing NS and between those playing EW. To get a single
winner as in Matchpoint Mondays we need to arrow switch one or more
rounds.
You should enter the scores into the Bridgemate according to your new position, not
your old one.

Tuesday Evening No Fear Tournament
This
is a very popular tournament with predealt hands and an accompanying
sheet. It is an aggregate tournament, with usually about 24 boards and
there is always a standby - so you do not need a partner. All members
(below 1st and 2nd Division), Associates and Temporary
Members
welcome.
